Histori
Founded in 1958 in August, "Gus" Loos, Loos and Co., Inc. started its operations as a manufacturer representative for overseas hardware problems. This includes importing aircraft cables and wire ropes from Europe and Japan as well as distributing tools and fittings.
In 1962, Loos & amp; Co started to manufacture cable assemblies. In 1964, the facility expanded to produce plastic-coated cable. In 1971, the company acquired the necessary equipment and began producing wire and cable ropes. In 1974, they, became eligible to manufacture aircraft cables to US Government specifications.
Over the next few decades, the company diversified its offerings into the consumer product market. Using the same quality aircraft cables, Loos manufactures bicycle keys, sporting goods, and other consumer products. In the early 1990s, with increasing price competition from overseas markets, the company stepped up efforts in niche markets rather than in consumer goods.
Today, Loos & amp; Co. manufactures various kinds of wire, aircraft cables, and wire ropes. These products are used in aerospace, military, and commercial applications, including - Flight flight controls, elevators, fitness equipment, rigging, and scaffolding operations. They are OEM manufacturers of companies such as Boeing, General Dynamics, and Bombardier.
