The Alcohol and Drinking Stoppoints is an alcohol and other drug organization located on the outskirts of Melbourne (Australia) in Richmond. Founded in 1994 at Fitzroy, the organization provides clinical care and support for those with substance addiction problems, as well as conducting clinical and epidemiological research and development. In addition, organizations provide education and training for health and welfare professionals.
The organization's approach to alcohol and clinical care of other drugs is primarily based on a medical treatment model. This includes using an evidence-based approach to care services and applying techniques to minimize harm to relevant client issues.
The organization joined Eastern Health public providers in October 2009, and is officially affiliated with Monash University. In addition, Turning Point collaborates with international organizations including the United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC); International Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Network Center , California State University; Behavioral Research and Service Center , Yale University; Interdisciplinary Research Center on AIDS and The International Hazard Reduction Association .

Clinical and Forensic Care and Support
Turning Point provides counseling, case management and primary care services of professionals and health practitioners, including; Alcohol and Other Drugs Doctor (more commonly known as Case Manager), Forensic Alcohol and Other Drug Doctors (Census Forensic Managers ) General Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Psychologists (both Clinical and Counseling ), Pharmacists and Nurses.
Care and support can be given in the following forms:
- Traditional face-to-face counseling (see Therapeutic Relations ).
- Group therapy.
- Outreach response.
- Household withdrawal.
- Counseling by phone.
- Online counseling.
Program of Pharmacotherapy Specialists
Turning Point provides access to eligible clients for medically supervised substitute pharmacotherapy such as Methadone (see Methadone Maintenance), Suboxone and Subutex.

Turning Point provides services in the following areas:
- Alcohol and other drug use judgments.
- Multiple diagnosis (a combination of mental health problems and substance abuse issues).
