Video IdeaPad

Histori

IdeaPad laptops were announced in January 2008. The first three models in the product line are Y710, Y510, and U110. Some of the features that define these first three models are widescreen, VeriFace face recognition, borderless screens, touch controls, and Dolby speaker systems. IdeaPad mainly competes with computers such as Acer Aspire, Dell Inspiron and XPS, HP's Pavilion and Envy and Toshiba's Satellite.

IdeaPad design marks the deviation from ThinkPad business-oriented laptops, towards a more consumer-oriented look and feel. Among these changes are glossy screens and the absence of the traditional ThinkPad TrackPoint. The Notebook Review says the keyboard has a distinctive "ThinkPad flavor" and "touchpad and touchpad keys are smooth and responsive."

On September 21, 2016, Lenovo confirmed that their Yoga series is not meant to be compatible with Linux operating systems, which they know is unlikely to install Linux on some models, and it's not supported. This comes amid media coverage of user-faced problems trying to install Ubuntu on some Yoga models, including 900 ISK2, 900 ISK For Business, 900S, and 710, traced back to Lenovo by deliberately disabling and removing support. for AHCI storage mode for solid-state drive devices in computer BIOS, supports RAID mode supported only by Windows 10 drivers that are included with the system. (It is also noted to make making Windows installation media more difficult than usual, since it requires extracting storage drivers and loading them during the Windows installation process, or the installer will not see SSDs.)

The upgraded version was added in February 2014, called Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD, featuring Full HD display and Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Yoga 2 11

Lenovo Yoga 2 11 is a Ultrabook class convertible device that can be used both as a tablet and laptop computer. Yoga 2 11 is thinner than Yoga 11 and has a tapered edge that makes it look more like a conventional Ultrabook laptop compared to the pleasing symmetrical "like-book" designs on previous models. The Yoga 2 11 has a smooth rubber pruning around the top half edge to prevent slipping on hard surfaces when in tent mode.

Yoga 2 Pro

Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is a Ultrabook-class converter device that can be used both as a tablet and laptop computer. The Yoga 2 Pro is thinner than Yoga 13 and has a tapered edge giving more looks like a conventional Ultrabook laptop vs. a symmetrical "like-book" design that delighted the previous model. At 1.39 kilograms, Yoga 2 Pro is significantly lighter than Yoga 13. Yoga 2 Pro has a fine rubber extending around its upper half edge to prevent slipping on hard surfaces when in tent mode. The new design is easier to take and hold than the previous generation of Yoga devices from Lenovo. The Yoga 2 Pro comes with a backlit keyboard. Unlike previous Yoga products, the home button is now the touch button at the bottom center of the screen. Lenovo moves the power button from the front and to the side to prevent accidental keypresses.

Yoga Tablet 2 with AnyPen

Yoga Tablet 2 with AnyPen is a Windows-based tablet computer with 1080p 8-inch screen. It weighs 0.43 kg and Lenovo claims to have a 15 hour battery life. Lenovo's AnyPen technology allows the use of pencils, pens, and other traditional stationery to write on the screen like a stylus. Tablet Yoga 2 was released in January 2015.

Yoga 3

Yoga 3 comes in versions with 11.6-inch and 14-inch screens, both with 1080p resolution. The screen can rotate 360 degrees to use as a laptop or tablet. Yoga 3 can also be placed in "tent mode" where it acts as a stand-alone while hiding the keyboard for activities such as watching a movie. It uses an Intel Core M. 14-inch model is offered with Core i5 and Core i7 versions. Both models can accommodate up to 8 gigabytes of memory. Configurations with capacities up to 500 gigabytes of SSDs are available.

Yoga 3 Pro

Yoga 3 Pro is a Broadwell based 13.3 inch touchscreen laptop with hinges that allows it to be used as a tablet and other configurations. It uses an Intel Core M processor and comes standard with a solid-state drive. The screen has 3200 pixels with a resolution of 1800 pixels and has multitouch capability. It is 13 millimeters thick. The Yoga 3 Pro hinges differ significantly from Yoga 2 Pro. The new all-metal hinge is called by Lenovo as the "watch bracelet". It's much smaller and forms a continuous arch shape from the laptop's chassis to the bottom of the screen. It has six mounting points compared to two for stronger feel and structural strength.

In a review for PC World, Elias Plastiras writes, "It's super light and easy to handle as a laptop and tablet, and it feels good to type for long periods of time Basically, as far as the user's convenience is concerned. , it does have some problems. This can get warm when you are streaming video or doing other tasks that make a lot of CPU usage and Wi-Fi adapter, and battery life is also not good, especially because the large screen resolution requires a lot of power to be light. "

IdeaPad Yoga 13

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 is a notebook computer/tablet hybrid made by Lenovo and was first announced at CES International 2012 in January. 13-inch yoga was released by Lenovo on October 26, 2012 for $ 1,099. Best Buy released an alternate version of Yoga 13 with an Intel Core i5 processor (vs Lenovo's basic model i3 processor) and no Microsoft Office (whereas Lenovo's basic model includes Microsoft Office). The smaller cousin, Yoga 11, who runs Windows RT (as opposed to Yoga 13, runs Windows 8), was released in December 2012 for $ 799. With products like Yoga 11 and 13, Lenovo has been able to pick up more than 40% of the market retail American computer for a price of at least $ 900 running Microsoft Windows 8.

In the editor's review, CNET states that, "The Yoga works best as a full-time laptop and a part-time tablet, because when folded back into slate, you still have a keyboard pointing out from the back of the system.Although the keyboard and touch pad are disabled in this mode is still not ideal. Moreover, despite the hype, Windows 8 is still not a tablet-friendly 100-percent OS, and there is some frustration that reaches all Windows 8-style tablet devices that we have tested.Yoga obviously seems to be the choice of all people for Windows 8 ambassadors - Microsoft and Intel have referred to it as the best example in its class, and Best Buy is presenting it in television commercials. "

IdeaPad Yoga 11

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 is a hybrid laptop/tablet computer based on Windows RT that was released in late 2012. Yoga 11 and Yoga Computers 13 got their name from their unique design that allows the device rotate the screen backwards to become a tablet device. According to PC Pro , "Hybrid design is very flexible, set up Yoga 11 in 'tent mode', and the touch screen can tilt like that Put the keyboard facing the desk, and the screen can be tilted back and back while the hinge which keeps the screen from falling behind.Clip the screen all the way back, and the hidden magnet holds it locked at the bottom, turning it into a tablet. "The Yoga 11 has a sleek chassis with orange matte exterior and a black all-round interior that weighs 2.79 pounds. It has a full-size QWERTY keyboard. According to TechRadar , "big buttons with good pads offer a much better experience than Microsoft Surface, and there's a great trackpad too."

Yoga 11 is powered by quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 that runs at a maximum clock speed of 1.3 GHz and features an integrated graphics processor. Tegra 3 is also found in various Android-based tablets. 2 GB RAM comes standard. This relatively small amount of RAM is sufficient because of the reduced memory requirements of Windows RT applications. Yoga 11 is sold with solid-state drives in 32 GB and 64 GB capacities. The Yoga 11 runs the Windows RT operating system. Microsoft Office 2013 sends pre-installed. Like all Windows RT devices, Yoga 11 can not run software designed for earlier versions of Windows, only applications designed for the new Metro interface are compatible. Yoga 11 has a 11.6-inch glossy screen that utilizes in-flight switching technology and runs at 1366 x 768 resolution. The screen has a maximum brightness of only 344 nit, but has a measurable contrast ratio of 1,146: 1. There are two USB 2.0 ports, an SD card reader, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a standard HDMI output. There is an internal 720P webcam.

In his review TechRadar stated, "The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 is a stylish, lightweight and durable laptop that is neatly neat as a tablet. At 11 inches, it's portable and thin enough to be used in tablet form, bigger brother, having a lock on the back that influences your grip makes it far from ideal. If you are looking for a laptop form factor to work, which doubles as a tablet for basic applications and surfing the couch, then Yoga 11 is a serious consideration, though we will advise you to go to your nearby PC superstore to give it one more time. This is not for everyone, and we would especially recommend it to someone looking for a small Windows 8 laptop that does not want to miss enjoying all the goodness of the touch screen offered by Windows 8. "

IdeaPad Yoga 11S

The IdeaPad Yoga 11S is a compact ultralight hybrid notebook computer/tablet scheduled for release in 2013. Like Yoga 13 and Yoga 11 Yoga 11S gets its name from its ability to take various form factors because the screen is mounted on a special two-way hinge. The Yoga 11S runs the full version of Microsoft Windows 8 operating system. Yoga 11s will be shipped in the United States in June 2013 with prices starting at $ 799.

Like other models in the IdeaPad Yoga line, Yoga 11S has a convertible form factor. The screen can be turned into various positions that allow it to function as a regular laptop and tablet device and can work in "tent mode" and "stand mode". Like Yoga 11, 11S will be available in silver and clementine. The Yoga 11S can be configured with a powerful Intel processor "Ivy Bridge" Core i7 processor, will support up to 256Ã, GB solid-state drives, and can store as much as 8Ã, »GB of RAM. Yoga 11S has a 11.6 "screen. Disisplay will be available with options for 1366x768 pixels and 1600x900 pixels resolution.

CNET wrote, "11-inch yoga - Lenovo smart laptop/tablet hybrid - has a great physical design, but runs a paralyzed Windows RT operating system 13-inch yoga ran full of Windows 8, but a bit too great for tablet duty. The upcoming Yoga 11S is probably the "right" marriage of both: a smaller and lighter 11 inch chassis, but running full Windows 8 - while retaining its unique fold design. Flex Series

IdeaPad Flex 14

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14 is a dual-mode laptop with 14-inch screen. The keyboard rotates behind the screen to place the device into "stand-by mode." Stand Mode brings users to the screen to watch videos and use touch-enabled apps and eliminate visual interference from the keyboard. Unlike the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga line the keyboard device does not bend back completely to allow use as a tablet. Like other Lenovo devices like Yoga, Flex has a matte, smooth lid that is slightly smaller on the side with the Lenovo logo in the upper left corner. Some models have orange accents, a feature commonly found in Lenovo design. The rubber bumper prevents the screen from playing beyond 300 degrees and prevents the keyboard from touching the table.

IdeaPad Flex 10

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 10 is a dual-mode laptop with 10-inch screen. It gets its name from the lid that can fold back flat and then about 300 degrees. The Flex 10 screen has multitouch capability and has a resolution of 1366 x 768. Buyers can choose configurations with quad-core Intel Pentium N3510, quad-core Celeron N2910, dual-core Celeron N2810, or dual = core Celeron N2805. The Pentium configuration can store up to 4 gigabytes of RAM and the Celeron configuration can hold 2 gigabytes. Flex 10 shares the same basic port and design as the Flex 15 and IdeaPad A10.

According to reviews from NDTV Gadgets, it is clear that Lenovo allocates most of the cost of this device to its more visible features In terms of functionality, it should be considered a modern netbook: good enough to surf the Web, create basic documents and watching movies now and then, but not suitable for any serious work. Y series

The first Lenovo IdeaPad Y Series laptops are on display at CES 2008. These are IdeaPad Y710 and Y510 laptops, each with 17-inch and 15-inch screens. The most significant change in laptops is a more consumer-oriented appearance - a striking difference from the ThinkPad.

Laptops at IdeaPad Y Series are Y400, Y450, Y460, Y460p, Y470, Y480, Y510, Y560, Y560p, Y570, Y580 and Y560d.

Y70

Y70 is a gaming laptop with 17-inch multitouch screen. In February 2015, the basic model Y70 has an Intel Core i5 2.5 gigahertz processor, 8 gigabytes of RAM, 1-terabyte SSD/hybrid hard drive, and Nvidia GTX 860M 2 gigabyte video processor. The display has 1080p resolution and LED backlight. Y70 scored 4.5 hours of battery life on MobileMark Office Productivity Tests but only reached about 2.5 hours of battery life to play the game.

Review of the Review Notebook says, "We're delighted to recognize Lenovo IdeaPad Y70 Touch with our Editor's Choice award for being a great big screen entertainment notebook."

Y40 and Y50 game laptops

Y40 and Y50 respectively are 14 inch and 15 inch laptops specially designed for gaming. The 1080p screen is standard on both models, but the Y50 has an option for 4K screens with a resolution of 3840 to 2160. Both come with options for multi-touch screens. Both use Intel Core i7 processor. Y40 uses AMD Radeon R9 M270 video card with 2Ã, · GB VRAM; Y50 uses Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M video card with option for 2 GB and 4 GB VRAM. Then the model now uses the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M video card. They come standard with 8 GB of RAM (expandable up to 16 GB). The Y40 comes standard with 256 GB SSD and the Y50 comes standard with a 1 TB hybrid drive. Both are only 0.9 inches thick. They each weigh 4.85 kilograms and 5.68 kilograms. Do not use optical drive. Y40 and Y50 were announced at CES International 2014 in Las Vegas and went on sale in the United States in May of the same year.

In a review for PC World , Hayden Dingman writes, "In terms of gaming performance, the Lenovo Y50 is one of the best laptops in its class. This is a great option if you are looking for portable rig games on a budget. Unfortunately, Lenovo compromises several key components - keyboard, trackpad, and (most importantly) the screen - to offer Y50 at mid-range price. Connect the mouse, keyboard, and external and you will have a solid gaming machine. If you can not tolerate the compromise, you may have to bite the bullet and spend more money on competitor deals. "

In a review for LAPTOP , Sherri L. Smith writes, "Lenovo continues to impress me with its ability to offer affordable gaming laptops. For $ 949, buyers get a sleek 14-inch notebook with solid overall performance and long battery life, but while the AMD Radeon R9 M275 GPU is not lightweight, you will not cut off or search for maximum settings, I also hope that this notebook will display a better screen and keyboard. "
