Pacific Magazine is a magazine publisher operating in Australia, owned by Seven West Media.
Pacific published leading books including Australia's best-selling magazine Better Homes & amp; Garden and the leading fashion brand of the nation Marie Claire .
It's rooted in Southdown Press, a publisher of New Ideas and long owned by the Murdoch family. When News Limited acquired Herald and Weekly Times in 1987, Australasia and Argus ( Australasian Post , Beautiful , Gardens ) titles were added. Rupert Murdoch separated his magazine holdings in Australia in 1991 into a new company, Magazine and the Pacific Printing (PMP). Seven Media Group acquired Pacific Magazine in 2002, leaving the PMP solely as a printing business. Two years later, Seven bought Murdoch Magazines, a former sister company in News Limited, from Matt Handbury.
In 2016, Pacific Magazine took back its digital assets from Yahoo7 and then launched several digital products across Fashion, Entertainment, and Home & amp; Food.
In 2017, the Pacific launched new digital "customer experience" digital offerings for Marie Claire and Women's Health.
