Shingles roof is a roof cover that consists of individual overlapping elements. These elements are usually flat, rectangular shapes placed in the program from the bottom edge of the roof, with each successive course overlapping the joints below. Shingles are made of various materials such as wood, slate, salt stone, metal, plastic, and composite materials such as fiber cement and asphalt shingles. Ceramic tiles, which still dominate in Europe and parts of Asia, are usually still called tiles. Shingles can worsen faster and need to remove more water than shingles. They are a very common roofing material in the United States.

Etymology
Shingle is a German schindle corruption (schindel) which means slate roof. Herpes zoster historically called tiles and shingles is a term applied to wooden shingles, as are still the majority of cases outside the US.
Shingles are placed in the course normally with each shingle offset from its neighbor. The first course is beginner course and the last one is the path of the ridge or the ridge for the slate roof. This ridge is often covered with ridge cap , board , cut , or roll sometimes with Maps Roof shingle
Overview
Shingle roof is almost always very visible and so is an important aspect of the aesthetics of a building in pattern, texture and color. Shingle roofs, like other building materials in vernacular buildings, are usually locally available materials. This type of shingle is taken into account before construction because the material affects roof pitch and construction methods: Some shingles can be mounted on battens where others require a solid (sheet) coating on the roof deck. All shingle roofs are installed from the bottom up with beginners and edge stitches offset to avoid leakage. Many shingle installations benefit from being placed over coating materials such as asphalt paper felt to prevent leaks even from rain driven by wind and snow and ice dams in cold climates. On a shingles ridge on one side of the roof only extends over the ridge or there is a ridge cap composed of boards, copper, or lead sheets. The asphalt shingle roof has a flexible asphalt shingle as a camouflage cap. Some shingles are not flammable or have better fire ratings than others that affect their use, some building codes do not allow the use of shingles with less than A-class fire ratings for use on some types of buildings. Due to increased fire hazards, wood shingles and organic asphalt shingles have become less common than fiberglass asphalt shingles. There is no waterproof shingles so the recommended minimum roof is 4:12 without additional coating materials.
The shingles of shingles from Fitzroya are then used as money and are called "Real de Alerce".
Asphalt shingles
In the United States, fiberglass-based asphalt shingles are the most common roofing materials used for residential roof applications. In Europe they are called bitumen shingles or tile strips, and much less often. They are easy to install, relatively affordable, 20 to 50 years old and can be recycled in some areas. Asphalt shingle comes in a large number of styles and colors.
The protective properties of paper and fiberglass asphalt shingles are primarily derived from long-chain petroleum hydrocarbons, while wood shingles are protected by natural oils in cellulose structures. Over time under the hot sun, this oil softens and when it rains, the oil is gradually washed out of shingles. During the rain, more water is channeled along the roof and the elaborate roofline, and this is then more susceptible to erosion than other areas.
Eventually the loss of oil causes the asphalt syrup to shrink and the wood shingle decays, exposing the head of the nail under the shingles. Once the head of the nail is exposed, water running down the roof can seep into the building around the nail shank, thus decaying the underlying roofing material and causing damage to the moisture in the ceiling and paint inside.
Shingles
The two basic types of wood shingle are called shingles and shakes. The difference is how they are made, herpes zoster is sawn and twisted split. Wood shingles and shakes have long been known as fire hazards and have been banned in various places, especially in urban areas where exteriors, combustible building materials contribute to the devastating fires known as fires.
The use of wood shingle roofs has existed in parts of the world with a long tradition of wooden buildings, especially Scandinavia, and Central and Eastern Europe. Almost all houses and buildings in Colonial ChiloÃÆ'Ã dibangun are built with wood, and the shingle roof is widely used in Chilota architecture.
Shingles
Slate herpes zoster is also called slate tile , a regular name outside the US. Roof tile slate is relatively expensive to install but can last 80 to 400 years depending on the quality of slate used, and how well they are maintained. The material itself deteriorates only slowly, and can be recycled from one building to another.
The main means of failure on the slate roof is when individual whiteboards lose their peg attachment and begin to slide out of place. This can open a small gap above each row. The secondary failure mode is when the whiteboard itself begins to break. The bottom of the slate can be loose, giving a crack under the slate. Generally small areas and stress above the nail hole may fail, allowing slates to slip as before. In the worst cases, the slate may break in half and disappear altogether. A common improvement for slate roofing is to apply 'combustion', fillets mortar under the blackboard, attach it to the batten. [1] [3] This can be applied either as an improvement, to withstand a slipped whiteboard, or pre-emptively on the construction.
Where the blackboard is very heavy, the roof may begin to split along the roofline. It usually follows the decay of developing and weakening internal wood, often as a result of bad ventilation in the roof space. An important aspect for roofing slate is the use of flashing metal that will last as long as the board. Slate shingles can be cut in a variety of decorative patterns and are available in several colors.
Shingle is a traditional roof stone. Some stone shingles are tied in place but some are held only by gravity so the roof is not too steep or the rock will slide from the roof. Sandstone has also been used to make shingles.

Shingles Metal
Metal shingles are very fire resistant, so they are used in fire prone areas.
Shingles plastic
Plastics have been used to produce imitation slate shingles. It is light and not brittle but flammable. Also, they are very light and are one of the cheapest shingles that has been installed.
Cedar shingles
Durable, insulating and protective cedar wobble gained popularity in the United States. This material is resistant to storm and can be either 18 "or 24" long. As for the design, the cedar shingle fades gradually from a natural wood tone to a silver-like tune. Various types are available: hand-split resawn shakes, tapersplit shakes or tapersawn shakes. [5]
