Harry Leonard Cooper , (born February 20, 1943), is an Australian veterinarian and television personality famous for his appearances in the media.

Careers
Cooper graduated with a second-class honors from the University of Sydney's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in December 1965, 21 years old. He practiced for several years in Sydney and England before his growing career became a full-time commitment. Cooper began his media career in the animal segment at a morning television talk show in Sydney. Later he became known as a surgeon surgeon in the long-standing series of Burke's Backyard . In 1993 he hosted his first series, Talk to the Animals , and later in 1997, the Harry's Practice veterinary series , canceled in 2003 despite consistently high ratings. Cooper is presenting the animal segment in the Better Homes and Gardens lifestyle program . He is also an advocate of animal welfare and public speaker.

Personal life
It was revealed that Cooper had been diagnosed with prostate cancer by the end of 2007; after more than six months of treatment, she is in remission and resumes her work on TV.
Cooper believes Australia should be a republic.
In March 2012, he revealed that he has split from his wife for 26 years. Cooper has three children and five grandchildren.
