The Welsh Regional Government Association ( WLGA ) (Welsh: Cymdeithas Llywodraeth Leol Cymru ) the interests of local authorities in Wales. It is an affiliated member of the Regional Government Association of England and Wales and a regional employers' organization.
The Welsh Local Government Association was established in 1996 to represent the interests of local government in Wales. Since 1999, the WLGA has a special role in representing the local government to the National Assembly for Wales.
Its members are twenty-two local authorities in Wales. Four police authorities, three firefighters and rescue, and three national park authorities in Wales are members of the association.
The WLGA considers that its main purpose is to promote better local government and local government reputation, and to support local authorities in policy development and priorities that will improve public services and democracy. City councils and communities are outside the WLGA boundary. They are represented by One Voice Wales

Autism spectrum awareness program
Tesco, a network of multinational supermarkets, has implemented training for its employees to meet the needs of its customers in the autism spectrum, which is estimated to be one in every 100 people in the UK. Employees use online training sites and respond to questionnaires to assess the extent to which they become more aware of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Tesco was the first company to participate in an awareness program led by the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA). This online training tool and questionnaire is intended for use by many organizations in Wales to identify and praise "ASD Conscious" businesses.
