World Solar Energy is a solar energy company based in Elkridge, Maryland that installs solar panels and solar thermal systems in Delmarva. The company installed a SunPower system that empowers the first ZeroHouse 2.0 on the East Coast in 2012. The original headquarters are located in Jessup, Maryland, but moved to Elkridge in November 2010.

World Solar Energy was established in 2009, as a joint venture of founders of HomeFix Corporation and Al Gleeson Electric Company. The company was originally located in Jessup, Maryland, but is now headquartered in Elkridge, Maryland.

Important achievement
In 2011, one of the World Energy World employees was recognized among the first in the country to pass the Technical Sales Test of North American Energy Practitioner Photovoltaics.
In 2012, the company installed a SunPower 40-panel solar power system on the first ZeroHouse 2.0 by KB Home on the East Coast, in Waldorf, Maryland. In the same year, Solar Energy World received Angie's List Super Service Award, and was listed as Top 500 Remodeler by Qualified Remodeler Magazine (# 53), and Solar Power World's Top 100 Contractor (# 42).
The World of Solar Energy is certified as SunPower Premier Installer by SunPower Corporation, and is listed as an Energy Star partner.

Education initiatives
Starting April 2010, Solar Energy World held a "40 Days of Earth Day" video contest for children and teenagers. Participants make a video of what Earth Day means to them, and post it on YouTube for voting. The winner, Bryn Mawr Little School, was awarded a $ 2,500 prize.
In 2012, the company returns to work with schools for Earth Day events. Students from Eagle Cove School in Pasadena, Maryland and St. Joseph School in Cockeysville, Maryland watched educational presentations, and built and rode solar powered cars for gifts.
