Better Than Sex: Confessions of a Political Junkie is a 1994 book written by American writer and journalist Hunter S. Thompson. In Volume IV of The Gonzo Papers' Book Series, Thompson detailed his reaction to Bill Clinton's 1992 election as US President, and recalled his unsuccessful journey to the sheriff from Pitkin County, Colorado..
This book contains a number of other magazine articles and essays that Thompson wrote about Clinton's election, but mostly consist of Thompson faxes sent to celebrities, politicians and journalists on the subject. This is the only volume in The Gonzo Papers which consists of most of the new material.
Some copies are also subtitled as Caught Like a Rat in the Circle Bill's Environment .
