Formulation
BB Creams come in different formulations. Since Korean companies focus initially on Korean and East Asian markets, they are offered in a limited number of colors. Instead of offering several shades for different skin colors, most formulas are designed to oxidize to match the skin color of the user. The skin whitening properties of cream sold in Asian markets are an important element in its popularity.
This cream is promoted as a multi-tasker and all-in-one treatment, but most Korean women use it as an alternative to foundations, especially those with Western formulations that tend to be too heavy for their tastes. This coverage is often mineral-based, and is intended to cover and treat stains such as acne, sun spots, and age spots. It also has anti wrinkle, anti-inflammatory, and soothing effects. Some contain hyaluronic acid and vitamin C.
Market
BB Cream forms 13 percent of the cosmetics market in South Korea. Some Korean brands also offer BB cream for men. The famous Korean brands include Etude House, Missha, Nature Republic, Skin Food, Sulhwasoo, and The Face Shop.
Western cosmetics companies started launching BB creams in Western markets in 2012, although some of these creams have been criticized for not having the usual skin care function of BB cream, and because it is nothing more than a colored moisturizer. Early arrivals include Boscia, Clinique, Dior, Està © e Lauder, Garnier, Marcelle, Maybelline, Revlon and Smashbox. Lab Series creates BB cream for men. Certain BB creams have been adapted for Western markets: Està © e Lauder, for example, does not include bleaching properties in their formulations for North America.
cruel and vegan free cream
BB Creams advertised as free-of-charge include Smashbox (owned by Està © e Lauder) and The Body Shop (owned by L'Oreal). The definition of "free of cruelty" varies. BB Body Shop Cream is certified by the Rabbit Leap Program, which means, in accordance with the certification process, that no new animal testing has been used in any product development phase by the company, laboratory or material supplier. In May 2013, Amore Pacific, which has subsidiaries, Etude House and Laneige, has ended animal testing on all materials and cosmetics.
Products that are certified as cruel-free may still contain animal products and may not be suitable for vegans. The vegan BB cream includes BB Superdrug cream alone, BB cream souffle from Haut Cosmetics, 100% Pure Cosmetics, Multi-Mineral BB Cream from Pacifica, and BB Crome â "¢ from Dermae.
