Standards for Better Health is a set of standards for the National Health Service in the UK. The standard was established by the United Kingdom Department of Health in a document of the same name published in 2004. The NHS trust should state their level of compliance with this standard to the Health Commission annually as part of the Commission's "annual health" check./10 by registration criteria established by the Ministry of Health and Quality Care Commission, which took over from the Healthcare Commission on 1 April 2009.

They are listed under seven titles or "domains", three of which focus on "patient experience":

Standard
The standard is divided into 24 core and 13 developmental standards. Compliance with core standards is always mandatory but the approach taken by the Ministry of Health and the Health Commission with respect to varying standards of development.
