Nimbus School of Recording & amp; Media is a private technical music production organization located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, which provides education in audio engineering, music production, and music business. The school was founded in 2009 by Bob Ezrin, Garth Richardson, and Kevin Williams. Nimbus is nationally accredited by the Private Career Training Institute, regionally by British Columbia Education Quality Assurance, and is academically certified with AVID media hardware/software companies, makers of popular audio recording software Pro Tools Nimbus has an A rating from the More Business Bureau Good.

- (AMP) Advanced Music Production: a one-year diploma program focused on audio, recording, and production engineering. Class topics include cable, patch bay, decibel, wave theory, equity, miking techniques for drums, bass, electric guitars, vocals, keyboards, re-miking and re-amping, meter and recording levels, autotune, dynamic processing, sound replacement, music theory, MIDI theory, digital theory, comping and editing, mixing and mastering. Beats and Urban Music Production - a one-year diploma program focusing on production techniques used for the production of Hip Hop and Urban Music. The starting class topics cover most of the same content as the AMP program, before breaking out to cover genre-specific topics such as origin and Hip Hop culture, sampling concepts, business strategies, production, DAW, samplers, turntables, soft synths, plugins, recording techniques studio, pre-production, mixing, mastery, and growing the sound bank.
- (MP) Music Business - a one-year diploma program that focuses on the business side of the music industry. Classroom topics cover most of the same content as the AMP program, before breaking out to cover business-specific topics such as marketing and promotion, music law, business plans, social media, revenue streams, songwriting, performance, artist demos, branding, media , and self-promotion.

History
Back in 1960s album producer Jack Richardson, Nimbus founding father Garth Richardson recorded over 240 albums, 30 singles recorded by Billboard, 20 Billboard-charted albums, 5 gold and 3 platinum albums, all at Nimbus 9 studio in Toronto. Jack Richardson is credited with mentoring rock music producers Bob Ezrin and Garth Richardson in Nimbus 9 studio. In recent years, Bob Ezrin and Garth Richardson decided to start the Nimbus School of Recording Arts, specifically to deliver what they believe to be a tradition of excellence in audio engineering and music production taught to them by Jack Richardson
